Microsoft FrontPage 2000
These instructions provide a step-by-step guide to help you get set up in Frontpage 2000 to connect to you Web site. 
 
1) Go to Front Page Explorer.

2) Open Your Personal Web or Local copy of your Web.

a) Go to File in the menu Front Page Explorer menu bar.
b) Select Open Front Page Web and Double Left Click on it.
c) In the POP-UP Window, Double Left Click on Personal Web or the Name of the Front Page Web you'd like to Publish.

3) Left Click on the Publish button next to New Page button.

4) Type in the web address where your Web is located on the Hawk Communications Web Server. It should be http://www.YourDomain.com. Replace YourDomain with the web page address of your Web. (e.g., http://www.daveil.com)

5) In the next POP-UP window, type in your logon information, including your NT User Account Name and Password, in the appropriate blank spaces. Left Click on the OK button. Front Page will automatically publish your Web to the designated location on the Hawk Communications Web Server.

6) You can check out your Web in your web browser by typing in your web address in the Location blank.

 

You can also import or transfer individual files and folders or disks from your local computer to the Hawk Communications Web Server by using the Front Page Import function. This is especially useful if you have files saved on a floppy disk. Follow these steps to Import web documents and image files:

1) Go to Front Page Explorer.

2) Open Your Hawk Communications Web Account on the Web Server.

a) Go to File option in the menu Front Page Explorer menu bar.

b) Select Open Front Page Web and Double Left Click on it.

c) In the POP-UP Window, Double Left Click on the Name of your web account.

d) Double Left Click on the Name of your Web Account (e.g., Admissions and Records).

e) In the next POP-UP Window, type in your logon information, including your NT User Account Name and Password, in the appropriate blank spaces.

f) Left Click on the OK button.


3) Go to File option in the menu Front Page Explorer menu bar.

4) Scroll down to Import and Double Left Click on it.

5) To transfer individual files, follow these steps:

a) Left Click on the "Add File" button.

b) In the next POP-UP Window, go to the C:\ drive by Left Clicking on the arrow button and move your mouse to the C:\ drive. Double Left Click on the C:\ drive.

c) Then Double Left Click on the Webshare Folder.

d) Double Left Click on the wwwroot Folder.

e) Double Left Click on the your Front Page Web Folder.

f) Hold the Left button of your mouse on the File you want to Import and then Left Click on the Open button.

g) Double Left Click on the OK button in the Import File to Front Page Web window.

NOTE: To import multiple files, hold your Ctrl button at the same time you hold down the Left button of your mouse. Click on the Open button when you have selected all the files.
6) To transfer multiple files within a folder, follow these steps.

a) Left Click on the "Add Folder" button.

b) In the next POP-UP Window, go to the C:\ drive by Holding Down the Left button of your mouse and moving it down the scroll bar to the C:\ drive. Left Click on the the + icon next to C:\ drive.

c) Scroll down to the Webshare Folder and Left Click the + icon next to the Webshare Folder.

d) Scroll down to the wwwroot Folder and Left Click the + icon next to the wwwroot Folder.

e) Scroll down to the Front Page Web Folder that you would like to transfer to the Web Server, Left Click on the Folder, and then Left Click on the OK button.

f) Double Left Click on the OK button in the Import File to Front Page Web window.
